PHOTO: World Book Day 2020 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, UNN

World Book Day, also known as World Book and Copyright Day, or International Day of the Book, is an annual event organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to promote reading, publishing, and copyright.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe Library of the University of Nigeria, UNN, NSUKKA joined the world to mark the world book Day 2020.

The host, Prof. Mrs Ezeani re-emphasized the essence of imbibing good attitude towards reading and the importance of reading to development.

The event featured talk shows from Guest speakers, Otosirieze Obi-Young and Mr. Ejesu from the English and Literary Studies Department of the University of Nigeria.

In attendance were students from UNN, University Secondary school, Library Staff Members, and staff members from other arms of the university.

In appreciation, the organizer, Dr Mrs J N Ekere thanked everyone for coming to keep the reading fire burning.
