CELEBRATING OUR CHAMPIONS

The Nigerian Library Association proudly celebrates the country’s team to the first AFLIA Africa Librarians’ Week on the theme: Promoting African Scholars to the World, held between 24th-30th May, 2020.

The Association is very proud of the following:

  1. The team of Wikilibrarians that made Nigeria emerge in the first position as the country with the highest number of most active Wiki African articles’ editors. This was made possible by the team leaders of Wikilibrarians — Dr Chinwe Anunobi, Hajia Neemat Abdulrahim, Dr Ijeoma Ibegbulam, Ngozi Osuchukwu, Dr Ayo Alonge and Elijah Azeez Olawale.
  2. Wikilibrarian Michael Fagbohun who emerged Africa’s second best in the competition.
  3. Wikilibrarian Okuonghae Omorodion who emerged Africa’s fifth best.
  4. Dr Nkem Osuigwe, our Worthy Ambassador at AFLIA, who encouraged our participants with the institution of monetary prizes for the best three Nigerian editors.

The efforts of the above librarians and others not mentioned are appreciated.

Together we are taking NLA to higher heights.

Congratulations!!!
