HIGHLIGHTS FROM NLA NATIONAL CONFERENCE DAY ONE

The NLA 2021 Conference/ AGM Day one was a huge success as members trooped in from all States of the federation in their numbers.

The Day one activities included Pre-conference presentations by the US Embassy, and also physical and virtual paper presentations. The hybrid nature of the conference was indeed fantastic because members could participate remotely from the comfort of their homes and offices. Thanks to the NLA Digital Communication Crew.

The high point of yesterday’s activities was was a visit to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdulahi Umar Ganduje, OFR, who personally received the NLA in his office.

The high powered delegation led by the President, Prof. Innocent lsa Ekoja, CLN, FNLA, included , Prof. L.O Aina, (The National Librarian/ CEO, National Library of Nigerian) and other notable Leaders of the Association.

Today, Tuesday 25th May, 2021 ( DAY TWO) is going to be the opening ceremony and promises to be most memorable. His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdulahi Umar Ganduje , OFR , has promised to be personally present.

The second-day activities will commence with the PhD Colloquium an innovation of the Prof. Ekoja led EXCO. starting at 8 am prompt.

There is no doubt that Kano 2021 has in areas carried the aura of our national conferences inspite of the initial hitches faced before the conference activities began.
